Or the push spell with Confringo because it is long range and I can tap them as they fly away, or leviosa with that slam attack, etc. I usually will align a hotbar set into what jives together.such as accio combined with incendio as it's pulling them close to use at close range with incendio. For me it is red left, purple bottom, yellow right.then top is a flex. I then keep the top spot as a flex spell for what I like as they give you more spells than hotbar slots. I don't swap combat ones because if I put them off and back I may mix them and if I mix them I may fuck up my memorization of attacks.įor combat I use the top three sets and just mirror the color to the position because you need a color at all times to counter the bubbles (hate this system I hope they don't carry it over to the sequel just let them counter my spells if they are standing and un-modified and a number of ways to break that isn't as basic and arbitrary as color coding).and if one is on CD you need to quickly swap so having it on the same button at all times is best. The bottom hotbar set I use for utility (invisibility, lumos, repairo, then likely the taming bag on the bottom, etc.) and then swap out that bottom one when dealing with taming or customizing my room of Requirement.
